We face challenging times ahead under the new Tier 4 restrictions. We have therefore introduced the following special protocols to enable some limited tennis to continue.
Permitted Play:
Singles Only with a player outside your household.
Up to 4 on a court within a single household only. The club's decision is that a single household includes people living in THE SAME HOUSE ONLY. Support bubbles & any other bubbles with other households are not regarded as a single household & therefore are NOT PERMITTED.
Players not adhering strictly to the above face a club ban.
Permitted Tiers:
No one in a lower Tier than Tier 4 is permitted at the club.
Booking Period:
You can book courts on the booking engine from 9am-3pm for every day except 25,26 & 27 Dec. More court time & more courts will be opened up at the weekend.
However, access to the courts is subject to the main car park gates being opened for access to the site. The Site Manager reserves the right to open up late or close early or to stay closed at short notice. Should you turn up and not be able to enter the site, then you cannot play. We will endeavour to keep you informed in advance as much as possible but we cannot guarantee to do so.
Arrival:
Access will be via the side gate.
Departure:
The last person to leave the courts MUST lock the court gate padlock & the side gate padlock.
Should anybody find the Side Gate open on arrival, you MUST report immediately to Pete, Paul, Tim or Nigel by WhatsApp.
This is a MAJOR SECURITY concern so everyone must be vigilant. Should the last player/players leave the site without locking up, they face a club ban.
Access to the Tennis Section
NO ACCESS PERMITTED. Toilets will be closed & the external tennis door locked due to the building being alarmed.
Balls
Bring your own as there is no access to the tennis section.
Floodlights:
As the main complex will be closed at 4.30pm and we have no access to the floodlight boxes, the last booking will be commencing at 3 pm until further notice.
Hand Sanitiser:
Please use on arrival and departure. The external hand sanitisers will be checked regularly. Please report to Paul, Pete, Tim or Nigel should you see them running low.
If the above conditions appear to be very stringent with excessive punishment for breaches, please be aware of the following:
It is on good authority that the Police have visited a number of tennis clubs in the area whereby detailed questioning has taken place to ensure complete compliance.
Should Richings Park be investigated and be regarded as having breached the regulations, the club WILL BE CLOSED DOWN AND RECEIVE A HEFTY FINE.
It is therefore important that we all recognise the seriousness of the current situation we find ourselves in our that having access to tennis is a privilege.
The Chairman.
